Susan and I took a trip down to White River Falls last week for a little away-time before school starts up again. I had been out shooting the falls, and I came back to find her across the river sitting on this rock with the sun at her back. I had already had a roll of this expired Portra 400 NC to shoot, just waiting for the perfect opportunity. This was it. I grabbed my camera and 135mm f/2 L lens, loaded the roll and waded across to where she was to grab these photos. I normally process and scan my own, but since this was going to be a special occasion I sprung for processing at The Darkroom. I'm glad I did, too. There are several keepers in here, and this is just one of them.
